Many special
techniques are included in this unique presentation. We start out
by showing you where to get designs (especially if you are not an
artist), even how to adapt designs from photographs. Then we show
how to convert designs used for surface etching to those used for
carving and shading, and vice versa.
A major part of designing is knowing how to combine the different
etching techniques in one project, to best make use of the strengths
of each technique. There are presentations on how to use special
techniques like controlled glue chipping and using found resist
materials to create unique textures on glass. These textures are
very compatible with etched designs and few people know how to produce
them.
Two full size patterns are included, so you can follow along with
the tape to learn how to combine all the techniques shown into one
major project.. Pre-cut stencils of the designs are available on
a variety of resists.
