| The 100DC dust collector is considered an entry level dust collector and will work with most sandblast cabinets. It has a single stage of filtration, with one filter bag. The bag is reusable until pinholes develop in it, which allow dust passage through the bag. The lifespan of the bag varies with use, but averages from 2 to 4 months for most people. The bag should be replaced as soon as you notice small puffs of dust coming out of the dust collector when you turn it on. Otherwise, the dust will be sucked through the motor and will wear out the bushings and bearings within a couple of weeks.
The unit has a self cleaning feature. When the motor is turned off the weights sewn into the filter bag forces it to fall shaking the dust from the bag. For average use blasting a few hours per week, weekly clean out of accumulated dust from bottom container is recommended. The dust collector comes complete with a filter bag, a 5ft. hose and an attachment flange. The 100 DC dust collector operates at 100 CFM with a 1/4 hp vacuum motor, 110v/220v. Keeping an extra filter bag on hand is recommended. Replacement saves wear on the motor.
